The number of Australians requiring aged care services is progressively rising in Australia, with a large portion entering Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs). Ensuring an established podiatry service is available is critical for the residents health, wellbeing and quality of life.
What The Feet Team offer in RACF
Maintaining basic foot care every 6- 8 weeks; including nail cutting/ reduction, corn enucleation and callus debridement.
Supplying and fitting appropriate footwear.
Monitoring and addressing circulatory and sensation issues that may cause complications in clients with peripheral vascular disease and/ or diabetes.
Diagnosis and treatment of lower-limb and foot musculoskeletal pathology to keep clients on their feet, aiming to prevent falls and maintain client’s activity, especially ambulation.
On call service for any urgent treatments.
